The day we boarded the boat, the waves were soft, and the wind gentle.
Grandma sat by the side of the boat; her hair fluttered slightly in the wind. Every now and then she turned her head and smiled, saying, "The water is so clear" — her voice, mingled with the soft clatter of the moving boat, was warm.
The camera didn't chase any grand vistas. It only captured the curve of her hand as she shielded her eyes from the sun, the half view of the river reflected in the cabin window, and how, when we sat side by side, our shadows overlapped on the deck, swaying slowly.
This clip is dedicated to my grandma, and to all of you.
