Josep Torres Vilata, known artistically as Toresky (Barcelona, ​​October 1, 1869 – May 10, 1937), was a Spanish actor, ventriloquist, and radio announcer. Thanks to the ventriloquism sketches he performed with his puppet Míliu on Radio Barcelona, ​​he became one of the first media sensations in radio history. In May 1937, he was arrested and taken to a Cheka prison after making a joke through Míliu that displeased supporters of the CNT (Republican faction): “What are bars on prison walls for? En 1937 fue detenido y llevado a una checa en Mayo de 1937 tras hacer un chiste que no gustó a los simpatizantes de la CNT (Bando republicano) a través de Míliu: “¿Para qué hay rejas en las cárceles? ¿Para que no entren los ladrones?”...
