Alaska - North of Skagway VR 360

We booked this day tour through our cruiseship, The Ovation of the Seas. From Skagway Alaska, you take a bus to Canada to catch the scenic White Pass train back to town. Along the way, the bus made two stops for photographs.

It was 25 May 2026 and the weather was pleasant. The 1st stop was at the Wiliam Moore Overlook. At a distance are the Sawtooth mountains. The second stop was in the Tourtured Valley.

While in Skagway a special thing to try is "Spruce Tip" Ale at one of the breweries. The Gold Rush miners were suffering from skirvy. They fixed this getting their vitamin C from sprice tips. They used the tips as an ingredient in beer.
