In this episode, I leave the green alpine meadows of Tusheti behind and descend into the scorched, remote lowlands of eastern Georgia.
Another part of solo overland journey through the raw and silent wilderness of Vashlovani National Park — all the way to its southeastern edge, where Georgia meets Azerbaijan.
Along the way:
– steep mountain switchbacks,
– empty plateaus carved by ancient rivers,
– raw views and the absence of people,
– and a sense of isolation rarely found in Europe.
This is Georgia like you’ve never seen it before — far from wine country and tourist crowds, where the only sound is wind, cicadas, and my own engine.
