After struggling to stabilize footage from the SLAM XCAM, I eventually gave up waiting for a proper solution and built my own.
This free Fusion node for DaVinci Resolve stabilizes 180° and 360° equirectangular footage, including both mono and stereoscopic VR, using standard Fusion Tracker nodes.
🎥 In this video, I explain why the node was created, how it works, and how to use it in your own projects.

📷 SLAM XCAM in two sentences
The SLAM XCAM proves that attractive hardware and ambitious marketing cannot compensate for unreliable recording.
☀️ In good light it can produce surprisingly decent images, but first it has to remember that it is supposed to be a camera.
