Tongdosa Temple, Keumgang-gyedan & Daeung-jeon

[Information]
This is Geumgang Gyedan at Tongdosa Temple, where the Buddha's sarira is enshrined. It's usually restricted, opening only once or twice a year for Buddhists to perform tapdori (circling the pagoda in prayer). I had photographed the Daeungjeon Hall right next to it, but was pondering how to approach the famous Geumgang Gyedan when I suddenly remembered I had my tripod. The brilliant idea (though the angle would be a bit worse) that I didn't need to actually enter the Geumgang Gyedan if I just extended my always-carried tripod to its maximum height then hit me, and I felt foolish for not thinking of it sooner. After pressing close to the wall and using the tripod to finish shooting, I left Tongdosa, heading to the parking lot with a smile, repeating to myself, "Indeed, it's not the flag that sways, but the human heart." Thank you, Buddha!
