we departed from Hangzhou East Station in Zhejiang, China, and traveled to Linping South Station in Hangzhou’s Linping District by high-speed rail business class. The journey lasted just 10 minutes, with a ticket price of RMB 34, roughly USD 5. Hangzhou East is one of the largest and busiest high-speed rail hubs in the country. The business lounge is divided into north and south sections, and this time I visited the South Lounge. The lounge was spacious and bright, featuring a modern Chinese design. It offered open sofa seating, private resting rooms, and even a dedicated restroom. Snacks and beverages were available, making the wait comfortable. Staff provided attentive service, assisting me through ticket check and personally escorting me onto the train.

The train was operated by attendants from the Shanghai Railway Bureau. Despite the very short ride, because it was during dinner time, business class passengers received a surprisingly complete meal service: a freshly cooked Chinese meal box, a warm egg drop soup, a delicate snack pack, and a choice of hot or cold drinks. I opted for a bottled tea.

Soon we arrived at Linping South Station, located in Hangzhou’s Linping District. Although the trip lasted only 10 minutes, the overall experience left a strong impression: a comfortable lounge, attentive staff, and an unexpectedly rich meal service. It turned a brief journey into a memorable and delightful experience.
