The material was recorded in VR 180° 3D during the historical festival "II Poznań Odyssey – A Journey Through the Ages," which took place on July 25-26, 2026, at the Infantry Shelter at Abrahama Street 11 in Poznań.
In this several-minute film, you can get a close-up look at the dynamic skirmishes of reenactors re-creating warriors from the early Middle Ages (Slavs and Vikings). The fights are fought in full contact using replicas of period weapons – swords, axes, and wooden shields. Thanks to stereoscopic 3D technology and a wide viewing angle (180 degrees), you can precisely assess the distance, the dynamics of the fight, and the fighters' defense and attack techniques.
About the event:
The Poznań Odyssey is a living history lesson that brings together reenactors from different eras. The main organizer of the event is the "Pododcinek Północ" Association, in cooperation with the Military Gang and the Band of Historical Freaks.
