Well, it's no secret - it's really a shame that Insta360 didn't give us swappable battery on the EVO. This little camera still has a ton of potential in 2025, despite its limited resolution (5.7K), and Insta360 no longer offers repairs for this gem.
So... since most EVOs still around today dan barely hold a charge, it's time to give it some fresh power!

More than difficult, it's just something you need to do carefully. Avoid tearing ribbon cables, and be patient - there are quite a few small pieces to remove. But overall, it's just a "remove screws / reinsert screws" kind of job most of the time.

Shopping list:
- 2x 3.7V, 600mAh batteries, type 702030 (Aliexpress - hard to find in 600mAh. The link for mine no longer works)
- Torx T4 screwdriver
- Phillips screwdriver
- Soldering iron (and a bit of solder)
- Insulating tape
- Precision tweezers
