🏔️ Georgia – Magical Land – Part 1: Svaneti

The first part of a journey, caves and mountain roads of the Caucasus.

This section begins with the spectacular Prometheus and Melouri caves, before continuing through Okatse Canyon and the peaceful surroundings of Green Lake. Along the way, we discover Georgian cuisine, traditional restaurants, and rural guesthouses that reveal the hospitality and everyday character of the region through Georgia, exploring the dramatic landscapes, ancient villages.

The journey then leads across the remote Zagari Pass toward Ushguli, one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe, famous for its medieval stone towers and breathtaking mountain scenery. From there, we visit Mestia and travel toward the Shkhara Glacier beneath Georgia’s highest peak.

From underground chambers and deep canyons to isolated mountain communities, fertile valleys, and snow-covered summits, this part reveals Svaneti as one of the most mysterious and beautiful regions of Georgia.
