Can Ethical Tourism save Thailand's Elephants? It’s time that we stop living in a fantasy. It’s not all fun and games. There are major issues that Thailand's elephants face. Facing shrinking natural jungle habitat, reduced vegetation due to climate change, and the biggest threat of all, people. Elephants need room to roam and food. Lots and lots of food. An adult elephant needs to eat between 150 to 300 kilograms (330 to 660 pounds) of food every single day.
