My childhood and youth, where I grew up, connect me with this church in Vyhne. Memories remain :)
The Roman Catholic Church of St. Michael the Archangel is located on a hill above the village of Vyhne. The church was built in 1776.
The architecture of the church of St. Michael the Archangel in Vyhnia belongs to the period of Rococo and Baroque classicism, the last quarter of the 18th century.
In the end, the design of master mason Jozef Pircker, originally from Tyrol and a burgher of Banská Štiavnica since 1765, responsible for several constructions and reconstructions in the city and its surroundings, was implemented.
The traditional Sunday decoration of the parish church is made of home-grown fruits, vegetables, flour, poppies and wild mushrooms from the forest, with which believers thank God for the gift of the harvest.
