리키에너스 게코(Leachianus Gecko, 학명: Rhacodactylus leachianus)는 뉴칼레도니아에 서식하는 세계에서 가장 큰 도마뱀붙이류로, ‘리키(르키)’라는 이름으로도 널리 알려져 있다. 튼튼한 체형과 나무껍질을 연상시키는 피부 질감, 낮고 울림 있는 발성으로 독특하고 고대 생물을 떠올리게 하는 외형을 지닌다.

크기가 크고 존재감이 강하지만, 숙련된 사육자가 다루면 차분하고 관찰력 있는 면모를 보이며 지능 또한 높은 편이다. 세로로 넓은 사육장과 여러 개의 은신처, 등반 구조물이 필요하며, 전용 파우더 사료를 주로 먹고 때때로 곤충을 보충 식으로 제공한다.

The Leachianus Gecko (Rhacodactylus leachianus), often called the “Leachie,” is the largest gecko species in the world, originating from New Caledonia. Known for its robust body, loose bark-like skin texture, and deep vocalizations, the leachianus gecko has a striking and almost prehistoric appearance.

Despite their intimidating size, leachies can be calm, observant, and highly intelligent, forming strong bonds with experienced keepers. They require vertically oriented enclosures with plenty of climbing structures and hiding spaces. Their diet consists mainly of specialized powdered gecko diets, supplemented occasionally with insects.
