Abandoned Soviet Barracks

It has been a significant amount of time since the Soviet occupation forces finally departed our territory (Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic and Slovakia) in 1991. Despite the passing decades, there are still unused spaces, often former military bases and barracks, left behind after their withdrawal. These vast areas often require extensive and expensive clean-up due to environmental contamination, particularly from petroleum products, which complicates their revitalization and reintegration into civilian life.
