On the roof of a psychiatric hospital

It’s hard to say for sure which is the largest abandoned psychiatric hospital in Central Europe, but one very notable candidate is:

Országos Pszichiátriai és Neurológiai Intézet (OPNI) (“Lipótmező”)

Located in Budapest, Hungary.

The building was completed in 1868 as a psychiatric institution (“Royal Hungarian Mental Asylum”).

The facility was closed in 2007 and remained abandoned for a long time.

The complex is extensive, with large buildings and surrounding parkland.
