Tokyo Yushima Tenmangu Shrine ' Tenjin Festival ' 2026 in Tokyo , JAPAN

The annual grand festival (Tenjin Festival) of Yushima Tenmangu Shrine (Yushima Tenjin), located in Yushima, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, is a traditional early summer festival held annually, primarily on the last weekend of May.

2026 was the year of the "Honmatsuri" (main festival), which is held every two years, and the "Shinkosai" (procession of the deity) was held, featuring the main shrine's portable shrine and the imperial palanquin.

A "Joint Procession of Portable Shrines" was also held, featuring 13 portable shrines.
