Remembering Sam (VRLOG 166)

Attending a memorial for someone you worked with who was taken too soon is a many layered thing... He was on the brink of finally getting the recognition he deserved when an aneurysm ended his life the day before turning 50. Since I'm the same age, I assure you this video won't do him justice. I could wait and gather my thoughts until it was a more succinct video essay - but that wouldn't be the Journey. We're all a jumbled mess of thoughts and emotions right now and documenting THAT is what makes life worth living. We're imperfect. But we're all trying so hard to perfect SOMETHING...

...and that is how everyone at this event bonded: ambition. Falling up the stairs. Trying new things. Never giving up. That was Sam Macaroni...
