Shanghai Western Suburb Guesthouse

The Western Suburb Guesthouse in Shanghai is the largest five-star garden villa-style state guesthouse in Shanghai. It has received more than a hundred heads of state and political leaders from various countries, including Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, as well as presidents from the UK, France, Russia and other countries. It has hosted large-scale state affairs meetings and activities such as the APEC Summit of Heads of State, the Founding Ceremony and the 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the state banquet for the meeting during then-US President Barack Obama's visit to Shanghai, and the 2014 Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit.
