I spent 5 days in Cuyagua, sleeping in a hammock on the beach, showering in the river and hanging with the fisherman in the village.
I came here because when I was in Palomino, Colombia trying to convince myself to visit Venezuela, a Venezuelan man named Endry told me about a little surf town he hadn’t been to in 5 years and that I should visit his friend Chuchu who still lives there. So I took a bus from Valencia to Maracay then through a curvy mountain road to Ocumare, along the sketchy roads on a mototaxi, to go find Endry’s friend, Chuchu.
