
Momijiyama Garden is a serene and beautifully designed Japanese garden nestled within Sunpu Castle Park in Shizuoka City, Japan. It’s a compact yet richly symbolic space that showcases the seasonal and scenic diversity of the Suruga region through four distinct sub-gardens:
🌿 Garden Highlights
Garden of the Village (Sato no Niwa): Features vibrant flowers, a wooden pavilion, and a charming bridge surrounded by irises in late spring.
Garden of the Mountain Village (Yamazato no Niwa): Includes a miniature Mt. Fuji and terraced tea fields, offering a panoramic view from its central hill.
Garden of the Sea (Umi no Niwa): Evokes coastal beauty with pine trees, a sandy beach, and rocks symbolizing the Izu Peninsula.
Garden of the Mountain (Yama no Niwa): Contains two small waterfalls representing Japan’s mountainous terrain.
