Here is an image of the photographer H.H. Bennett himself. He's the man facing us in the tent. The man at right is William Metcalf. In the book H.H. Bennett, Photographer, His American Landscape by Sara Rath, this image is shown on page 72. The caption reads: "'Camp Ne-Un-Gah  Ah-Rue-Chu,' also informally referred to as Camp Mosquito Bite by William Metcalf, helping himself here to the keg of rum. The wealthy Milwaukee industrialist joined Bennett and a few others in July 1873 to view the intriguing rock formations of Adams and Juneau counties. The expedition established a bond between the two men that resulted in personal and professional benefits to both."
