Zegrze Lake: The "Warsaw Sea" in Poland.

Technically called the Zegrze Reservoir (Zalew Zegrzyński), this man-made lake is the ultimate playground for residents of the capital and a perfect spot for your bike tour.

Origin: It was created in 1963 by damming the Narew River at Debe. Since then, it has become the most popular weekend getaway near Warsaw, located just 20–30 km north of the city center.

Recreation: The lake is a hub for sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Its shores are lined with marinas, sandy beaches (like the popular "Wild Beach" in Nieporet), and summer resorts.
