Once planned as a luxurious entertainment and shopping complex in Balatonfüred, Hungary, Sun City—also known as the “Greek Village”—was meant to bring a Mediterranean vibe to Lake Balaton. Construction began in the 1990s, but the project was never fully completed. Over the years, it became an abandoned ghost town of empty buildings, graffiti, and decay.

By 2024, most of the complex had been demolished to make space for new developments, leaving behind only traces of what was once a bold vision for the Balaton region. This video explores the history, rise, and fall of Sun City—one of Hungary’s most interesting abandoned projects.
