Join me for a walking tour around historical Kronborg Castle in Helsingør Denmark. Build by King Eric the 4th, back in 1420 the castle was originally a small fortress, but from the beginning its mission was control of the waterway in front of it. the Kings used the castle to collect taxes from passing ships.
King Frederick the 2nd upgraded the simple fortress to a magnificent castle, most of which is still here today. Unfortunately the castle was besieged and sacked by the swedish, and not everything is original after that. BTW. Kronborg Castle is also known as Elsinore castle in the Shakespeare play Hamlet.
