Taejongdae Resort Park sits at the southern edge of Yeongdo Island in Busan, where rugged cliffs meet the vast open sea.

Named after King Taejong of the Silla Dynasty, who was said to have visited the area for its stunning scenery, Taejongdae has long been admired for its dramatic coastal landscape. Towering rock formations plunge into the ocean, while waves crash against the cliffs below.

A scenic walking trail winds through dense pine forests, connecting observation decks, the iconic Yeongdo Lighthouse, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the East Sea. The contrast between emerald water and dark stone creates a striking visual experience.

On clear days, visitors can see distant islands scattered across the horizon. At sunset, the sky glows in layers of orange and crimson, turning the coastline into a cinematic silhouette.

Unlike crowded beaches, Taejongdae offers a rawer encounter with nature — wind, salt air, and the steady rhythm of waves.

Whether explored on foot or by the park’s circular train, Taejongdae reveals a powerful side of Busan where land and sea meet in dramatic harmony.
