3D VR180 Deep Sea ROV Highlights from MBARI "Doc Ricketts" vehicle.

Highlight real from first of its kind Deep Sea ROVVR camera system, developed by MBARI project team in 2020. Footage filmed from various dives aboard the deep sea ROV, "Doc Ricketts." The footage is filmed at depths varying from 300m to 4000m and contains many interesting species of deep sea animals and coral.

Pearl Octopus (Octopus Garden)

The ROVVR Camera system is carried on board MBARI's ROV Doc Ricketts robotic submarine. The camera system was designed to allow real time tele-robotics for pilots and scientists, and to create scaled footage that presents an intuitively accurate sense of size and distance.
