Le Mont-Saint-Michel is a French commune and monastery in the department of Manche, Normandy, on the border with Brittany in northern France. The municipality is considered a world heritage site according to Unesco and is one of the smallest in the country with its 29 inhabitants. Mont-Saint-Michel has been called one of France's most breathtaking sights.
