The route starts in open alpine terrain beneath the dramatic peaks of the Odle/Geisler group, then winds through narrow valleys, rocky gorges, forest sections, bridges, and picturesque mountain landscapes before reaching Ortisei.
Unlike many long descents that follow wide motorway-style pistes, La Longia remains engaging from start to finish, combining flowing carving sections with more technical and scenic stretches.
